Favorite NBA Players (Vol. I)

I am not here to talk about that kind of favorite player, I am here to talk about the kind of player you like because you see something really specific in them that appeals to you. You maybe even see something of yourself in them, whether it’s something in their game that is similar to yours (obviously much better, or you would be in the NBA yourself ), or just their personality.
Stephen Curry
(Big-Time College Recruiters): You can’t play in college
Curry: Yes I can
(NBA “Know It All” Analysts): You can’t play in The NBA?
Curry: Yes I can
That is basically Curry’s story, proving people wrong!
He wasn’t offered a scholarship to a big time school, so he went to Davidson College a team that hadn’t won a tournament game since 1969. His biggest success came in his sophomore year when he led Davidson all the way to the elite-eight. Curry was unbelievable in that tournament, this was the first March Madness I was able to watch here in Portugal, and those games Davidson won as the underdog were a big part of making me a March Madness fan for life!
In the NBA Curry has also defied odds, and in my opinion is on pace to become one of the greatest shooters the game has ever seen. I would even add that if he has a long injury-free career Curry could break Ray Allen’s 3-point record.
J.J. Redick
He is a Dukie and that is enough, Next…just kidding! I love duke, I tend to love their players probably because traditionally they are not very athletic (like me). Redick is probably the most hated player ever to play at Duke, and there have been a lot of hated players at Duke. It’s probably just because he isn’t supposed to be that great. He isn’t very athletic, he doesn’t have great first step. He should be easy to stop, right? Wrong!
His tremendous shooting ability, and IQ were more than enough for college basketball, and no Tar Heel hecklers were able to stop him.
In the NBA Redick was able to solidify his position as one of the most reliable role-players in the league, playing for the Orlando Magic.
That is all for now, hope you check back for Vol. II of this “series”…
You can leave comments on these players, and even mention some of your favorite players.
